In a word, golden. The contrast blast is incredible, highlights of yellow and orange, alongside flecks of red, are set over a deep brown, in places almost black under-stain, creating a marvelous golden glow. The warm tones of Masur birch beautifully bridge the gap from briar, to highly polished ebonite in a crisply cut, highly polished accent ring. The shaping of the pipe is elegant, refined, and dramatic.
